Reattu: a Storied Beauty from Clarence House

Reattu is a beautiful new pattern from the Clarence House Spring 2021 collection. Reattu is inspired by the aesthetic and vision of Christian Lacroix. After visiting the Reattu museum in Arles and browsing the exhibition of the world of Christian Lacroix, Kazumi was inspired by the unexpected mix of colors and textures, plus the strong impressions that he was left with and created the design for Reattu.

In the early 1980’s, Clarence House released Dragon Empress which quickly became a favorite and is still a best-selling design. Dragon Empress was successful in fine interiors internationally and in the world of high fashion. Christian Lacroix intentionally used the back side of Dragon Empress for an unexpected effect. Paying homage to this iconic design, Reattu celebrates both Christian Lacroix’s ingenuity and Dragon Empress’s beauty.
